Contest Rules:

1. The poster contest is open to anyone who has some relation to the Festival—volunteer, ABS/AAOS member, vendor.

2. All entries submitted must have been created by only one artist. No shared work is allowed.

3. All submitted artwork must be the original creation of the artist entering the contest, and must not be based on the work or a reference photo of another artist.

4. Artists are allowed to submit up to two digital images their artworks.

5. The art must have been created no earlier than 2024.

6. The finished poster is a vertical format. ABS/AAOS reserves the right to crop the artwork as needed.

7. We will not accept nudes, digital art, or art created using artificial intelligence.

8. The winning artist grants a non-exclusive license to Artists by the Sea/Associated Arts of Ocean Shores (ABS/AAOS) to reproduce the art on the official 2026 Arts & Crafts Festival Poster, and to sell the posters at all future ABS/AAOS events and on its web site. ABS/AAOS will keep all monies collected from sale of the posters.

9. The winning artist gives full permission to publish their name and photo of the winning artwork on the ABS/AAOS web site and social media and any other advertising without further compensation.  

10. The winning artist will receive a $100 cash prize and five posters.

11. ABS/AAOS Board Members are prohibited from entering the contest.

12. ABS/AAOS reserves the right to refuse any artwork submitted that it determines to be inappropriate or distasteful.

13. By participating, the entrant agrees to follow and be bound by these rules.

14. The ABS/AAOS Board will choose the winning artwork and announce the winner not long after all art has been collected.

Entry Deadline:

• Entries must be submitted to ABS/AAOS by July 1, 2026. 

• Include artists name, telephone number, title of the artwork, media used, and date created.

• Email to artsandcraftsaaos@gmail.com.

• ABS/AAOS prefers high resolution JPEG images (minimum 300 ppi, or 1900 pixels on the shortest side). If resolution is not sufficient, the winning artist must be able to meet in Ocean Shores at a set date and time to have a photo taken of your art.
