Associated Arts of Ocean Shores has been supporting the arts on the north beach since 1974. Our support takes many forms.

We annually award $2,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors going onto study art in college.

We support artists in our community via donations to: The Bishop Center at Grays Harbor College, Stagewest Community Theater, North Beach Artists Guild, and the annual Art Splash Studio Tour.

We host the Arts & Crafts Festival every Labor Day Weekend at the Ocean Shores Convention Center.

Support and become a part of the local arts community by becoming a member of Associated Arts of Ocean Shores. We are stronger together!

Call for Artist Submissions

The Coastal Interpretive Center (CIC) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to educate about the natural and cultural history of the Washington Coast and inspire the joy and wonder of nature. The CIC and the Associated Arts of Ocean Shores (AAOS) have partnered to produce an art exhibit entitled “Winter on the Washington Coast” which will be on display at the CIC starting January 8th, 2022.

The CIC and AAOS are seeking artwork depicting winter on the Washington Coast to display in the exhibit. All mediums of visual art will be considered and artists may submit multiple works for consideration.

To submit your work for consideration, please contact Laura Caldwell at management@interpretivecenter.org by December 29th, 2021 with a photograph and description of your artwork including materials and dimensions. Artists must be able to deliver their work to the CIC on the week of January 3rd, 2022 for installation. If selected, your artwork may be featured in promotions for the exhibit.

AAOS will be providing prizes as follows:

1st place $250

2nd place $150

3rd place $50

Judging will be done by a panel of 3 judges including the CIC director or designee, the AAOS president or designee, a member of the art community selected by the AAOS board.

Additionally, the 1st place winner’s art will be added to the AAOS inventory of posters and the 2nd and 3rd place winners will have their art placed on a postcard. These items are sold both retail and wholesale by AAOS.

Artists are encouraged, but not required, to be members of AAOS. If you are not already a member of AAOS, click here to find out more about how we promote the arts in Ocean Shores and to become a member.

Please contact Beth Allos at board1aaos@gmail.com with any questions.
